Funds Raised for Women Candidates in Virginia
A great crowd from Northern Virginia gathered at the GSD Co-Working Office for Progressive Feminists in Alexandria on April 5 to raise funds for the many women candidates running for the House of Delegates in Virginia this year.
Attendees heard from our featured speaker, Clare Bresnahan, who is executive director of She Should Run. She Should Run is a nonprofit that works to inspire more women to seek public office---a perfect match with the Virginia's List mission to elect more women to statewide office here in Virginia. We had a great mix of supporters, new folks, and candidates attend the fundraiser. More fundraisers are planned later this year as we continue our mission to support progressive women in Virginia.
