Our Mission is Clear

 

Virginia's List (formerly Women Leaders of Virginia) is a Political Action Committee with a mission to elect progressive women to the Virginia General Assembly and statewide elected offices.

We formed in in 2015 and immediately started raising critical resources to directly support women candidates in Virginia Senate and House of Delegates races across the Commonwealth. In our first year, Virginia's List raised tens of thousands of dollars for candidates.

Virginia's List envisions a Commonwealth where women have an equal voice at the decision-making table — in the General Assembly and in statewide elected offices.
 

Working for a New Virginia

We focused on the critical 2017 races in Virginia, and it paid off. We changed the face of the Democratic Caucus, and kicked off a nationwide blue wave. In 2019, we flipped BOTH the General Assembly chambers, and made it possible for strong, Democratic women to take leadership roles.

 

Unfortunately, 2021 was not as kind. Although our goals to defend our hard won majority and work to elect a woman to the Governor's mansion did not come to fruition, we still elected 25 Democratic women to the House of Delegates.  WE are more determined than ever to flip the House of Delegates and maintain our majority in the Senate in 2023. With your support, we'll raise the funds we need and continue to increase the number of Democratic and pro-choice women in elected office in Virginia.
